Mill Valley Seniors for Peace

We are a group of senior citizens who are residents of the Redwoods Retirement Community in Mill Valley, California. Our average age is 86. We are committed to the search for world peace, social justice and genuine democracy.

In January 2003, when the Bush administration threatened a preemptive unilateral war against Iraq, we joined peace-minded people around the world in street demonstrations opposing the war.

Seniors for Peace has continued to demonstrate at Miller Avenue and Camino Alto in Mill Valley every Friday between 4:00 and 5:00pm. Other like-minded citizens frequently join us in a combined effort to carry the Peace message forward.

On Sunday evenings at 6:35pm, we hold a silent candlelight vigil at the Redwoods to connect with other similar-thinking people around the world. With the global community linking together, it is our hope that peace, love and justice will prevail on Earth.
